Just returned from the wild and exotic Komodo, Indonesia where we spent 14 nights aboard the luxurious live aboard Damai II. The crew of Damai II really understand hospitality! As a guest on their boat, your every need or want will be taken care of, with a smile, and you will forever be spoiled by the experience. Depending where you are in Komodo National Park, the water temperatures can dip into the low 70s this time of year, or a more comfortable 3mm wetsuit temperature in the high 70s. Visibility ranged from dark and milky to 75′ plus, with currents also varying from non-existent to very strong. Marine life is abundant and healthy in KNP with bursts of color to contrast the blue water everywhere. Macro shooters never ran out of interesting little critters to capture, while wide angle aficionados were treated to turles, reef and pelagic mantas, cuttlefish, basketball-sized frogfish and endless schools of anthias and glassy sweepers.
