If you are a scuba diver who is not afraid of a little cold water, then get yourself and your gear to God’s Pocket Resort! If you are a west coast Canadian, or live in Washington state, getting there is fairly simple. For the rest of us it’s more of a logistical challenge. The easiest route for us and all of our gear was to fly into Victoria airport, rent a car and drive 321 miles (516 km) north to Port Hardy. From there, it’s just a 30 minute boat ride to Hurst Island and God’s Pocket Resort, where you’ll experience some of the best cold-water diving in the world and un-matched hospitality from owners, Bill and Annie, and their friendly crew.
