We recently shot some video for a client whose business is cold-storage warehousing. They have many different rooms of varying degrees of chill, as the products they store are mainly perishable foodstuffs. For a particular video sequence, the room we were shooting in was a chilly -2 degrees fahrenheit! Not only did we have to bundle up with layer upon layer of clothing AND a special freezer jacket, but the camera and reference monitor also had its own special insulated “jacket” with warmers!
So what’s it like to work in those conditions for an extended period of time? BRRRRR! Yes, it’s very cold! And you never quite get used to the sensation of your nose hairs freezing!
As part of a client project, Joel and Jen shot some video of strawberry processing today in Watsonville at Cal Pacific Specialty Foods.
Our favorite SF band, LUCE, performed a live, interactive show from the Newmediasoup studio on May 8th. What a thrill to have them perform from our place! Fronted by singer/song writer Tom Luce, the band performed selected tracks from their newly released album Fall To Fly and answered real-time questions from their fans. Thanks LUCE! We had a blast!
We are pleased to announce two more options for printing of our underwater images. Satin aluminum gives the finished product a smooth, very even, soft appearance… perfect for dream-like underwater scenes or even black & white images. Thin Wraps is a process that takes an image printed on either lustre or metallic photo paper, mounts it to a gator board, then wraps it with a satin, transparent film.
